Largely optimistic but also mildly evocative during those resolving sentiments of no longer being together, there’s a roller-coaster effect to the progression of Blue Lagoon, dashes of grit and joy carefully alternating throughout a colourful and ultimately quite anthemic mix.

The movement of this single has a fairly classic feel to it, almost like a long lost hit from yesteryear, the sort that can easily be rediscovered & reintegrated into your modern day playlist.
Phil Whiteley has a certain way with songwriting that is both widely accessible & distinctly unique. This new album was well worth the wait.
The project in it’s entirety features a superb collection of songs & could easily pass for a greatest hits collection. There’s not a wasted moment.
