Away From The Silence is more than just an album, this is a conceptual journey through a specific story-line – one that brings together fiction and genuine reflections on life and the realities we build in our minds.
Magle showcases many different sides to his personality and his creative drive throughout the project, there’s no single word to explain the way the music works, or why -it just does, and defiantly so. A breath of fresh air and a pleasure to listen through.
To even have it cross your mind to create an entire album of music following the lines of a timeless poem such as this is incredibly rare & creatively free in itself. Peter Cavallo’s passion for music & the arts is limitless. This project is yet another that’s something of a dream to lose yourself within for a while.
The unpredictability starts to line up with your own emotional reactions to it. Rather than just listening, you’re involved – your emotions tumble down the very same rabbit hole as the music.
Always one to throw in more than a few subtle curve balls, Forest Robots proves there is no limit to his creative reach – no hill too high to climb, no sound too unusual to approach & master with professionalism & care.
Not until you’ve let the music rain down on you in full – which it does, the sound of rain is consistent – not until then does it really release you from the fast pace of modern life and let you realise the stillness of being.
I cannot encourage you enough to experience Alexandre Perotto’s music at the earliest convenience. It’s a blessing to have such an artist among us, and this collection in full is consistently outstanding.
Steve Wheeler has poured endless passion, time & skill into this music. The detail & the overall rush the album gives you is breathtaking. A timeless collection & clearly the work of a creative at the top of his game.
The rise & fall of the progression, the movement through the notes, both string & wind, gives off a sense of waves lapping at the shore, or perhaps of a tired chest breathing slowly & deeply.
A fine short collection – unique in its creative freedom yet rhythmically soothing enough to simply let play; evidently on repeat. There are certain traits within each piece that offer a clear level of individuality.
The artist name encapsulates many of the feelings incorporated into the EP. The struggle is clearly very real, but the work that came from it is quite magnificent – often the way things tend to go in art & music.
The places these compositions take you are impossible to describe. The answer is to simply turn up the volume and let yourself fall into the moment. The journey within is likely to be completely unique for each individual listener.
