Noting stylistic similarities ranging from Depeche Mode to Underworld, EGO tells the story of a man trying to discover whether his appreciation for someone else is due to their own qualities, or their open admiration of his. The whole thing is mysterious and confronting, uncertain by lyric but bold and confident by design, and all of that connects perfectly to the swagger and force of this idea of EGO.
