The Scribes - A Story all about How - Stereo Stickman

The Scribes A Story all about How

-

That sweet moment when stylish, quick fire, smart hip-hop is fused with a classic simple beat and a quality distorted guitar. Keeping you on your toes; brand new music from The Scribes.

‘A Story all about How’ opens with ‘Dragon Breath’, the first track we heard from it; simple yet effective, and it only gets better from there. Flying the British hip-hop flag high, The Scribes have created a sound that is theirs and theirs alone, melodic as hell, and better so; not a single lazy lyric in sight. There is plenty of hope left for hip-hop, you just have to look in the right places.

The experimental music behind their bars adds a little more of that intrigue and freshness to the sound. This is a trio set to take stages by storm over the coming weeks. We’re excited to see them live, and we’re already looking forward to future releases. They’re playing gigs with favourites of ours The Petebox and Dr Syntax this very week.

Fans of alternative hip-hop will love this, as will anyone who has tired of mediocre, ‘safe’ music. The Scribes make music however the hell they want to. And we love it. Creative to the core. Check out the video for ‘Blood in your Eyes’.

‘A Story all about How’ came out in January of this year. Their previous releases include 2013’s ‘The Death of Loki’, and their newest piece, which will be released as The Scribes Present, and is expected to be all kinds of bizarre and intriguing, is ‘Mr Teatime and The End of The World’ – out October 23rd. You can grab them all, and a host of other projects, via their Bandcamp page.

Follow them on Facebook and Twitter for updates and live shows.
