Silence the City - Brave - Stereo Stickman

Silence the City Brave

-

I haven’t been excited about a heavier sounding band since I scratched up all of my Papa Roach, Puddle of Mudd, Seether, and Audioslave CD’s in a low quality car system five years ago. What a poor sentence to open with, way too lengthy, I apologize. Anyway, five years is a long time to be without a loud obsession. The wait is finally over.

Silence the City are what we should refer to as an awesome band. Whatever they’re doing; they’re doing it right, they’re doing it well. ‘Brave’ is a quality song, heavy in all the right places, melodic at just the right times. It feels fresh and exciting, yet at the same time; it takes me back to simpler days – those days when people actually hung out with each other, face to face, and drank copious amounts of alcohol – without having to share a photograph of it to a bunch of people you went to school with fifteen years ago. (Rant over).

Silence the City – Brave. It’s really bloody good. Turn it up loud.

Silence the City. They’re from Auckland, New Zealand. (Please tour the UK some time soon) They make rock music (heavy metal music.. nu metal music..) – It’s loud, well played, and melodic – it helps you de-stress after a long days night week. (Important to relax after that kind of thing.)

I’m new to these guys, so I’ll be delving deeper into their online world at every opportunity. Won’t you join me? Follow Silence the City on Facebook, Twitter and Soundcloud.

Keep an eye on me, too – a far more detailed music review is in the pipeline. I’ll get that painted up once I feel a bit more familiar with the landscape.

Great music. Silence the City. Get involved.
