Shadowfields Never Again

-

Shadowfields return this summer with an instrumentally pure and lyrically compelling story-line that reaches out to connect on a profound and personal level.

Building up slowly from a simple acoustic beginning, to the energetic and warm embrace of a full-band sound, the song becomes increasingly immersive as it progresses. The vocals alternate initially, delicately presenting these ideas that engage the listener and seem all too relatable and notably human. Later on, as the intensity rises, the voices unite to help bring that energy even higher. The passion and power of the song rises up in unison with the lyrical resolve of the song’s hook. Uncertain and melancholic verses pave the way brilliantly to effectively juxtapose the satisfying brightness and optimism of the hook.

While there is plenty of sadness and heartache running throughout the song, this merely makes for an accessible and genuine connection. What you end up taking away is categorically that final dose of hope and positivity. The music lights up the room by the end, the two singers uniting to stunning results, backing vocalists and dashes of additional instrumentation helping underline a sense of togetherness, of oneness – again, in stark contrast with the isolation and quiet from the beginning.

The conceptual nature of the entire song is what gives it such an appealing and ultimately uplifting vibe. A thoughtful and skillfully crafted release, from a band who write from a place of absolute realness and heart.

Grab the album Festival For One as of June 28th. Find & follow Shadowfields on Facebook & Twitter or visit their Website.
