Darshae Kiér - Translation - Stereo Stickman

Darshae Kiér Translation

-

Darshae Kiér carefully balances pop sensibilities with a somewhat retro-electronic bounce of a beat, and an overall finish that effectively walks yet another line – that between contemporary tones and the comforting embrace of yesteryear.

Translation is a likable pop song, built up on the strength of a simple shuffle of a beat, upfront and infectious as it hits. Surrounding this you get the easily memorable nature of the melody, and numerous vocal and instrumental effects that help add a certain fuzz or electronic warmth to the multiple layers of the soundscape.

As things progress, it becomes clear that well-utilized contrast plays a big part in making this song work. Quieter moments, free from that drum-line, pave the way well towards those in which everything strikes at once – including a gathering of vocals, often chaotic as a unit of togetherness, but ultimately presenting an engaging and energizing, anthem-like moment that sees the song reach even higher than before.

Undoubtedly, Translation is a release that grows more entertaining and immersive as it progresses. This classic and passionate approach to pop is always welcomed when it returns via such an authentic and energetic performance. Darshae’s previous releases speak even further in favour of this.

  1. Rock on!! I absolutely love this Rebecca. The and attention to detail provided to this song was something magical. I am glad you were able to experience some of the same impressions I did while recording it. Until next time.
